Trump Foresees Arrest And Urges Protests For Tuesday

On Saturday morning, former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to air his concerns about a potential arrest looming on Tuesday, reports Axios. The Manhattan district attorney’s investigation claims that “hush money” was given to adult film star, Stormy Daniels concerning an alleged affair.

According to the highlights surrounding this investigation, this is significant because Trump would be the former president in U.S. history to face criminal charges.

In a series of posts over the weekend, Trump sent out what some may refer to as another dog whistle with, “Protest, take our nation back!”

He also added that America is “now third world” and “dying.” Further stating, “American patriots are being arrested and held in captivity like animals,” while also being critical of crime, inflation, prisons and mental institutions.

A spokesperson for Trump stated, “There has been no notification, other than illegal leaks from the Justice Dept. and the DA’s office, to … fake news carriers, that the … Democrat prosecutor in Manhattan has decided to take his Witch-Hunt to the next level.”

“President Trump is rightfully highlighting his innocence and the weaponization of our injustice system.”

Without question, the potential of this indictment will greatly influence the outcome his 2024 campaign.  After pleading guilty, Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen, was sentenced to three years in prison for his involvement in distributing $130,000 to Stormy Daniels during Trump’s 2016 presidential election campaign.

According to Zachary Basu, a writer for Axios, Trump would likely ride the victim and vengeance wave for 2024, which are already major themes of his campaign. Basu added, Trump has already identified all investigations as “witch hunts.”
