Nicki Minaj Faces $750K Liability For Spouse’s Dressing Room Assault

Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, are facing more legal trouble as a security guard files a default judgment against them, reports Hip Hop DX.

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online on April 28, Thomas Weidenmuller, the security guard who initially sued the couple in 2022 for an alleged assault during a 2019 Nicki Wrld Tour show, is requesting the court to grant a default judgment in his favor as the Petty’s have failed to respond to the lawsuit.

Weidenmuller is seeking $753,000 in damages and was already granted a default judgment against Minaj, but not yet against her husband.

The incident reportedly occurred during one of Nicki’s Pink Friday shows, where a fan breached security and got on stage. The fan was quickly escorted offstage by Minaj’s personal security team, but the rapper and her husband, Kenneth Petty, allegedly confronted Weidenmuller and his team after the show.

According to Weidenmuller, Minaj then called a female security guard on his team a “f*cking b*tch,” and publicly blasted her on social media. Weidenmuller intervened and escorted the security guard away from the situation.

He claims he later approached Minaj in her dressing room to address the matter, and that Petty punched him in the face while the rapper continued to curse at him.

He further added that Minaj encouraged the attack, giving him room to sue for “battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence.”
