Lil Wayne’s Welcome To Tha Carter Tour ended on a sour note, leaving a bitter taste in the mouths of disappointed fans who eagerly gathered for the final show, only to witness the abrupt cancellation mid-performance, reports Hip Hop DX.

The scene was set on Saturday night (May 13) as Weezy took the stage at the Wiltern Theatre in the heart of Koreatown, Los Angeles. A live-stream option was available at a cost of $15, who couldn’t physically attend.

However, anticipation turned into frustration as the clock ticked past 9 p.m. PDT. Fans grew increasingly restless, and it wasn’t until well after 10 p.m. that the rapper finally graced the stage.

However, directly in the middle of his set, Wayne took an intermission as his Young Money artists took center stage. Yet, just as Cubas was gearing up to perform his second track, Wayne returned, grabbed the mic and told his artist the show was over and that it was time to wrap up. Apparently, the crowd wasn’t enthused enough to Wayne’s liking and didn’t show enough love.

“We appreciate it, but we ain’t about to be bending over backwards for these folks. We work too hard for this sh*t. We work way too hard,” Lil Wayne told Cubas before addressing the audience.

“This my muthaf*ckin’ artist Allan, that was Twist, that was Yaj; we are Young Money. We appreciate y’all time,” he said. Wayne then set the mic down and signaled to his crew that it was time to go.

Leaving the crowd bewildered whispers of anticipation of his return went on for approximately 10 minutes. A chant of “Weezy” began to reverberate within the venue just as the lights came up and the event organizers promptly instructed the attendees to vacate the premises.

It was only last month that Weezy, left fans disappointed as he made headlines when he abruptly called off his much-anticipated Atlanta show mere hours before he was scheduled to perform.

His team shared a message stating the Atlanta show was canceled “Due to unforeseen circumstances.”
