June 30, 2022 | By KaliGirl

Ketanji Brown Jackson made history Thursday, June 30, as the first Black woman to hold a seat on the Supreme Court.

Replacing the seat of Justice Stephen Breyer, Jackson was sworn in as the 116th Supreme Court justice.

She will join three other women, Justices Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, and Amy Coney Barrett, making this the first time four women will serve collectively among the nine-members court.
