Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin is fighting for his life after suffering cardiac arrest on the field during Monday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, as reported by ABC News. The 24-year-old athlete collapsed after making a tackle in the first quarter and was rushed to the UC Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit. The NFL has postponed the game and has not yet made a decision about resuming it at a later date.

The NFL has been in close communication with the NFL Players Association, and they are in agreement to postpone the game,” the league stated. In a heartbreaking scene, Hamlin was down on the field for at least 15 minutes, with paramedics administering CPR as players from both teams gathered around in concern, some visibly weeping.

The safety was then transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in an ambulance, and both teams returned to their locker rooms. Hamlin’s family released a statement thanking the dedicated first responders and healthcare professionals at the hospital for their exceptional care. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Damar and his loved ones during this difficult time.
