According to CBS News, Coolio’s manager confirmed the rapper’s passing was caused by the impact of fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamines. Coolio, born Artis Leon Ivey Jr., passed away at the age of 59 in Los Angeles last September.

While the coroner’s report cited heart disease and asthma as health concerns, it also noted recent use of PCP. Coolio’s death was ultimately ruled as an accidental occurrence by the coroner’s office, CBS Los Angeles reported.

The Grammy Award-winning track “Gangsta’s Paradise” featured on the soundtrack of the film “Dangerous Minds,” spent three consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, cementing its place as one of the most successful rap singles of all time.
