June 6, 2023 | By Kali Girl

Cardi B has been instructed to pause her collection efforts against Tasha K, the controversial vlogger reports Hip Hop DX. Recently, court documents revealed that Cardi B, along with other debtors such as the IRS and Bank of America, were notified about Tasha K’s filing. The filing was received by Cardi B’s attorney, Lisa Moore.

A recent notification instructs all parties to halt collection efforts starting Friday (June 2), allowing the courts to address and sort out Tasha K’s financial situation.

The filing of the case imposed an automatic stay against most collection activities. This means that creditors generally may not take action to collect debts from the debtors or the debtors’ property,” reads the order. “For example, while the stay is in effect, creditors cannot sue, garnish wages, assert a deficiency, repossess property, or otherwise try to collect from the debtors.”

On July 19, a status conference will be held before Hon. Scott M. Grossman. Tasha K has until August 23 to submit a repayment plan in relation to her Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Should she fail to meet this deadline, the bankruptcy may be discharged, leading to the resumption of collection efforts by all parties including Cardi B.
